MISSION

The mission of the Student Senate is to provide a forum for interaction between the local business community, business school organizations, and the students and faculty in the Wayne State School of Business Administration.

VISION

The WSU SBA Student Senate is an organization of students serving as strong resources for their peers. It is divided into five main teams striving towards one ultimate goal. This goal involves enriching students by facilitating friendships, professional relationships and networking relationships. We help to create experiences for our members that allow them to excel in academics, become better communicators, improve their social skills and increase creativity. Along with improving business skills, we hope individuals leave with a sense of accomplishment after helping the local community in various volunteer opportunities. Those involved in our organization should leave feeling empowered to accomplish their personal goals using the skills developed.

GOALS

• Continue to develop relationships with other Student Organizations through events and projects.

• Increase presence and awareness of the Student Senate at Wayne State through a creative and innovative advertising campaign.

• Build and Strengthen Relationships with local Businesses.

• Strengthen existing relationships with Alumni.

• Bring Professors into our network as honorary members, who offer support, insights, and advice to the Student Senate.

• Work with colleges at Wayne State outside of the School of Business Administration on projects.

• Create a culture of professionalism and camaraderie within the Student Senate.

• Attract and recruit creative and aspiring individuals to be members of the Student Senate.
